Task - Raptors 101
Using online maps, you and your group will first choose three different raptors to study. Research, observations, and comparisons are going to prepare you to be known as an expert in your group. You will keep an observation journal, discuss and write a comparison paragraph with your group, and create a video or podcast to document your understanding of the behavior of your raptor.
By the end of your training, by using many of Georgia's Characteristics of Science and writing in science standards, you will be able to recognize that changes in the environment affect each raptor (S7L4c), understand the raptor's place in the food chain (S7L4a,b), identify the location in which your raptor lives (S7L4e), and see how changes in the evolution of birds have landed raptors at the top of the food chain (S7L5b).
